When completing the application form, please make sure you follow the guidance below,
as an incomplete or incorrect form will delay your application being processed. You will find these guidelines in the prospectus.

• You should write clearly, in capital letters.
• Your surname and forename must be as they appear on your passport
or birth certificate.
• Make sure you include the postcode of your address.
• All telephone numbers must contain 11 digits.
• The mobile number should be yours, not your parents.
• If your email address contains a . or – or – please make sure that it is
clear, and whether it is .com or .co.uk
• You need to list all schools / colleges you have attended since age of 11.
This includes if you did not finish a course. If you have been out of
education for any reason you must give details of what you have
been doing.
• You need to give a first and second choice of course. The 1st choice is
what you would like to do based on your predicted / achieved grades.
Your 2nd choice is what you would like to do if your grades are not
as expected.
• AS Applicants can apply for:
• 4 if predicted / achieve at least 5 A* - C grades
• 3 if unlikely to get a C in either GCSE Maths or English.
• Level 3 BTEC Applicants can apply for either Level 3 BTEC Business Studies
or Health and Social Care:
* Subsidiary Diploma by ticking subject 1, plus up to 3 AS subjects,
or 2 if need to retake Maths or English
* Diploma by ticking subject 1 AND 2, plus up to 2 AS subjects,
or 1 if need to retake Maths or English
* Extended Diploma by ticking subject 1 AND 2 AND 3
* AS subjects must be taken in the blocks you have spare
• You must complete all sections of the personal statement.
• External applicants must have the reference form completed by your
Form Tutor, Head of Year, or course tutor. If you are unable to provide a
reference please contact the school to discuss this prior to submitting
your application. If you are
applying on-line, please provide the details of your referee who we will
contact on your behalf.
• If you are applying from outside the UK, please include a copy of your
grades so that we can calculate the equivalency to GCSE grades.
• If you move house, change phone number or email address please
contact us immediately as if we are unable to contact you we may with
draw your application.
• If you decide you no longer would like to be considered for a place in
the 6th Form, please contact us as soon as possible.
