Level 3 OCR National Certificate in ICT Print E-mail

Course: 2 year – OCR National

Level 3 Certificate. This course is equivalent to 1 A Level.

Exam Board: OCR

Minimum subject specific entry requirements: GCSE grade C in double award Applied ICT with at least a grade C in GCSE English or Maths. Or Merit in OCR Nationals Level 2 with at least a grade C in GCSE English or Maths.

Course Content:

To achieve this qualification, you must complete a total of six units consisting
of four mandatory units and two optional units.
4 Mandatory units are:
Unit 1: Digital Business Communication
Unit 2: Collaborative Working
Unit 3: Problem Solving
Unit 4: Creating a digital showcase

Assessment:

All units are completed throughout the year, internally marked and externally moderated. This course will suit you if you are studying in preparation for employment in the ICT sector particularly in job roles where you will be expected to use ICT skills and liaise with users. It is also suitable if you wish to gain a Level 3 qualification to support further study in FE and HE. A variety of teaching methods are used including individual and group work.

Progression:

This course is ideal if you are seeking a career in ICT or wishing to further your studies at Level 3 of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF). It is particularly suitable for those
who wish to start employment in job roles where they will be expected to use ICT, liaise with customers and carry out ICT operational roles.
