Homework

Students have homework throughout their education at CFGS. Homework makes an important contribution to learning. It helps students to progress, to develop good study habits, to become independent and self-motivated learners.

Students have a homework timetable and a diary or student planner, in which to record their homework. Parents are asked to check and sign the diary or planner each week, ensuring their daughters do their homework in the evenings and alert the Head of Year if there are any difficulties, e.g. too much or too little homework.

There is an SEN / EAL homework club for those students with additional learning or language needs. We also purchase subscriptions to on-line revision sites such as SamLearning and Mymaths which students are encouraged to use out of school to support their studies.
