Religious Education & Collective Worship Print E-mail

CFGS is non-denominational and secular in its provision and ethos. The schemes of work in the school conform to the requirements of the locally agreed SACRE syllabus. There is no National Curriculum in this subject.

The course reflects the multi-faith nature of the school and community, promoting an understanding of religions and a respect for people’s beliefs. Students study the six major religions: Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, and Sikhism.

Parents have the right to withdraw their children from Religious Education and Collective worship, though at present no students are withdrawn from lessons in this school.
