How to pay Parents are encouraged to pay for school lunches by cheque. Once the front office receives a cheque from either a student or parent the amount will be added to the student's account. For the money to appear the same day, cheques need to be handed in by 10.30am. Those received any later will be credited the following day. CFGS has introduced a system that takes a reading from students' fingers to replace the old card system, preventing problems of students forgetting or losing their lunch cards.
In the past, students have been given a card, thus enabling them to purchase food from the school's canteen or top up their accounts. This method addressed previous problems, by removing money from the classroom and taking away the stigma attached to free school meals. To read more about the biometric lunch system, click here. School menu and prices At break time, students can buy a snack that costs 50p each. Examples of these are: • Pizza slice
