Raising Attainment of Students in GCSE Dance to 70% Grades A – C

1. Pending exam results:

50% A – C so far – written exam paper (20%) still pending.
Choreography – 6 A’s and 1 A*
Performance Piece – 7 A’s and 5 A*’s
Set Study – 2 A’s
Programme Note – 6 A’s and 2A*s

 2. Through intervention strategies all course work was submitted by the expected deadline from all students par two Programme Notes.

 3. Students were motivated and excited by trips to professional Dance Shows and workshops led by professional Dance Companies. All trips and workshops were rated as good or better.

 4. A Dance GCSE Parent’s Evening was organised to inspire Parent’s about how important dance is in a child’s education. There were performances from a professional traditional Indian dancer as well as outstanding performances from the GCSE students. All who attended the evening rated it as good or better.
