Key Leaders Programme
 
We believe our Heads of Departments and Key Stage Co-ordinators in Maths, English and Science are Key leaders. This large and influential group has an immediate point of contact with staff and students. They meet as a cross-curricular group every half term to discuss school developments or participate in in-school leadership training. this provides the core professional development for these individuals in addition to training within their subject specialisms. There is a range of experience and expertise which enables the shareing and embedding of good leadership practices across the school.

Leading from the Middle
Aspiring and Experienced middle managers benfit from this Nationally recognised Programme that combines training, coaching, e-learning and formal assessment. Individuals who wish to progress via the management routes in teaching undertake this programmme. They are supported and coached by a fully trained memeber of the CPD team. Each year at CFGS indviduals middle managers undertake this programme.

Leadership Pathways
Heads of Faculty and Heads of Years can apply to take this Nationally recognised programme which prepares individuals for Senior Leadership positions. At a more advanced level from LftM, colleagues are supported through coaching and external training and e-learning to undertake work based learning. As with LftM, the coaching is provided by a fully trained member of the CPD team. Up to four individual Senior middle managers are involved in this 1 to 2 year programme.

National Professional Qualification for Headship
At Senior Leaderhsip level within the school, Assistant Headteachers and Deputy Headteachers have the opportunity to undertake this Nationally accredited programme. It is most suitable for those aspiring to be Headteachers. This is supported directly by Headteacher, Dr Anne Hudson.
