Headteacher's message to all CFGS families

We hope that all of our CFGS students and their families are keeping well over these unusual, unprecedented times. You will no doubt have been following the news closely and are keen to know when schools will fully reopen. At present no decisions have been made by the Government, though rest assured we are working hard to plan for the different scenarios that may follow. In the meantime, we will continue to provide face to face sessions for our Year 12 students, and we are looking forward to also welcoming back Year 10 from Monday 22nd June. Our teachers will also continue to provide your daughter(s) with their daily lessons remotely to ensure they do not miss out on key curriculum content, and that they have a structured day. We truly appreciate the support that families have provided to their daughters in supporting their remote learning. This is no mean feat given the many responsibilities families have in what are difficult times – we commend you.

While school life is far less active than we would like it to be, there has been to much celebrate. For example our 6 Awards from the SSAT in recognition of our GCSE and A Level achievements in 2019, the ADT Faculty’s production of face masks and visors for the Homerton Hospital, and the numerous examples of student work in support of the school’s anti-racism work and BLM.

Please continue to check the website and our Twitter account @CFGSSchool for more updates.

Wishing you all the vey best,

E. Holland
