Headteacher's message to all students and their families
Please enter an introduction for your news story here.
Dear CFGS students and families,
we hope that you are safe and well. This has been another great week for CFGS as we continued to run face to face sessions with our Year 10 and Year 12 students. Teachers have commented on how good it has been to see their classes after several weeks of online learning. The behaviour and maturity in adhering to social distancing measures around the school has been exemplary. In the meantime, we continue to set work for all students and appreciate your support in keeping learning going.
You will have heard of the plans to open schools to all Year groups from September; we will share CFGS’ plan with you by the end of term. You may also be aware that Ofqual have announced that students may sit GCSE and A Level resits in the autumn term. We await the full details of this, and will share further information and guidance with our students on the A Level and GCSE result days. Given the school’s track record in having some of the best GCSE and A Level results in the country, we don’t anticipate high numbers of CFGS students will want or need to sit for resits while enrolled on courses at sixth form, college or University.
I’d like to end this week’s message by congratulating Ms Shamsad whose collaborative work with Goldsmiths University, ‘A Moving Story from Dhaka to London’, has been published in an article in an international Journal.
