Headteacher's weekly update: 05/02/2021
Dear CFGS student and families,
As we come to the end of another week, I hope this message finds you well. I am happy to report that our students and teachers continue to do great things with remote learning. Both staff and students are developing ever more sophisticated use of Microsoft Teams, with top tips being shared daily with all teachers.
In a bid to provide students and staff with some much needed "down time" from their computer / laptop screens, we are launching a new initiative called 'Central Refresh' on 12th February. This will entail a series of themed afternoon activities that will enable all CFGS students to engage in a wide range of projects away from computer screens. Do look out for the details that will be sent to parents / carers via our SIMS Parent App.
In other news, I'd like to congratulate our Premises Team who have been acknowledged as 'Best School Team' with our contractors G4S. This is truly well deserved given the extent of the extra work that has been required to keep the school as safe, clean and secure as possible.
We now move into our final week of this half term. Please continue to follow us on Twitter @CFGSschool where you will find other good news stories.
Wishing you a safe and restful weekend,
Ms E. Holland
