Pastoral Support at CFGS
CFGS recognises that different students will need different levels of support in order for them to thrive. The school has excellent pastoral provision which aims to:
- transform lives through our high expectations and high standards for all
- challenge and support each other to excel through our passion for learning
- value all members of our community and celebrate success
- empower ourselves to be a positive, creative, innovative and inspirational community.
Each Year Group has a Head of Year who oversees the pastoral support and wellbeing of a specific cohort, ensuring that students are able to achieve both socially and academically. Heads of Year lead a team of Form Tutors who work closely with a form group and deliver a tutor programme every morning, they monitor attendance, attainment, achievement and the behaviour of students and take a lead in co-ordinating appropriate intervention for students within the year group when there is a concern. They also work closely with key members of staff to ensure vulnerable students are identified and a clear programme of support is in place.
Below is a summary of the pastoral provision at CFGS which includes the different roles in school and some of the organisations we work with.
