Social Sciences
In Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 all students follow our bespoke, ‘Social Studies’ curriculum, which brings together Personal, Social and Health Education and statutory Citizenship Education. The units of work are designed to nurture confident, responsible, British citizens who are aware of their rights and responsibilities but more importantly, are empowered with the skills to participate in democracy and shape our future society.

At Key Stage 4 we offer a GCSE Citizenship and Sociology and a BTEC qualification in Health and Social Care. All three subjects have an outstanding track record at the school in terms of results, consistently outperforming schools nationally. They are also some of the most popular options with our students.
Social Sciences is the largest teaching faculty in our Sixth Form and students can choose to continue with Health and Social Care BTEC or Sociology 'A' Level but we also offer A-level Law and Government and Politics. Year on year we have girls enter top Universities to continue their education in these and related subjects.
