Year 6 - 7 Transition: PE
PHYSICAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT
Welcome to PE at CFGS. We aim to provide an engaging and challenging curriculum that allows all students to achieve beyond their expectations. We ensure all students are given opportunities to get a broad and balanced curriculum both in and out of the classroom. We want to offer excellent opportunities to develop a healthy life-long love of physical activity. We want all students to feel they belong as part of a team, believe in their healthy potential.
PE lessons will provide learning across a range of sports including; football, netball, volleyball, cricket, basketball, handball, rock climbing, gymnastics, athletics and many more.
We also offer a wide range of sporting activities at breakfast club, lunchtime and after school clubs. There are so many choices for you to get involved in your favourite sports, to make new friends and to improve on your skills. You can take part socially or if you like being competitive there are a wide range of Tower Hamlets sporting competitions that we take part in and do incredibly well in! Have a look at our clubs timetable below.
On top of all of that you could also apply to be a sports council member. In Year 7, students who are chosen will represent the school as a leader in sports. They will support the PE department in making choices for all students and will aim to improve PE and sports at CFGS.
If you have any questions about PE at CFGS before starting in September please email me at: email@example.com
I’m looking forward to welcoming you all to PE in September.
